Today I have a very exciting giveaway for all of you. Alana from Never Not Knitting has sent 5 patterns my way to give away to my readers.
Alana has recently redone all her patterns so they look like a cohesive collection. The printed patterns are only available through yarn shops (you can find one in your area by clicking here), but all patterns are available as pdf downloads on nevernotknitting.com.
Each pattern is uniquely designed to look like a page from a scrapbook- just take a closer look at this beautiful design work:
Alana's patterns were some of the first I found (and fell in love with) when I got on Ravelry about a year ago. Playful Stripes is one I'm planning on making for my child one day and was ecstatic she sent an extra copy for me!
Not only is Alana a super talented designer, she is also the host of the ever-popular "Never Not Knitting" podcast. She just kicked off a new season last week, but you can catch up on all the episodes here.
On to the GIVEAWAY!!
As I mentioned above, the giveaway consists of five of Alana's printed patterns. Among these, you will find: Sheepish, Playful Stripes Cardigan, Cosette Wrap, Cedar Leaf Shawlette, and Alana's newest pattern, Shawl Collared Cowl.
In order to enter, stop by Alana's pattern store to find which design you would love to knit up. Come back and share your favorite design on this blog post for a chance to win. For an extra entry, you may tweet the following phrase from your twitter account:
Just entered the giveaway on frenchpressknits.com for a chance to win patterns from @nevernotknittin .You should enter too! @frenchpressknit
Contest will close Thursday night at midnight (EST) with the winner being announced Friday, October 8.
If this is the first time you have seen Alana's work, I would recommend checking the rest of it out. Here's where you can find her:
The watermelon pattern is adorable! What a fun giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the watermelon pattern AND the Shawl Collared Cowl! Love giveaways ! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for good sweater patterns for boys, since I had my son back in June. The Sheepy pattern fits the bill, and I'd love to make one for my DJ. :D
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a special little girl to knit for because I have always loved the girly patterns. I think Playful Stripes done up in "boy" colors could be awfully cute for my little guy. For myself, Cosette is lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are Cosette, the shawl-collared cowl, and spring garden tee. Thanks for the contest!
ReplyDeleteI would love to knit Playful Stripes for several little girls I know!!! But also Cosette for myself....
ReplyDeleteCedar Leaf Shawlette, hands down.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on my second Playful Stripes and think Cosette looks beautiful.
ReplyDeletei would like to knit the shawl collared cowl! =)
ReplyDeletetnx for the giveaway and congrats on the bloggiversary! ;)
I have no idea how to knit (although I'm taking a class this week), but I hope to one day be able to knit the Playful Stripes cardigan. Happy Blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteI love the Sheepish pattern, it's adorable!

Happy Blogiversary! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Shawl Collared Cowl...I am "HookedonKnitting" in Ravelry. Email is HookedonKnitting@aol.com.
I've been admiring the Never Not Knitting collection ever since Alana announced the collection on her blog. What a great concept she has!
ReplyDeleteI am particularly enamored with the Cedar Leaf Shawlette.
I have a neice or 2 (okay 3) that the Playful stripes would look lovely on! God willing, maybe a daughter someday too! ;) But if I was going to be selfish, I would love to whip up the Shawl Collared Cowl for myself!
ReplyDeleteI just finished a sweater for my little girl and as cute as the little sweater patterns are, I think I need a little something for my self, like the Cedar Leaf Shawlette.
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to make the Playful stripes cardi for some time now. This would give me very little excuse!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous contest!! I love the Collared Cowl!
ReplyDeleteI also tweeted and blogged about the contest..
I love the playful stripes cardigan! It's so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the Cedar Leaf Shawlette
ReplyDeleteOh... HA! I don't think that one is one the list of the giveaways! (Early... no coffee...) In THAT case, the Cedar Leaf Shawlette looks fun. Being a knitter of only a couple years, I like to try to keep my patterns simple, but I like the ones that LOOK difficult! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Playful Stripes Cardigan is by far my favorite and has been for a while! Its perfection to me! The perfect little girls sweater. I have four girls and I would seriously consider knitting one in almost every size so my girls (and I) could enjoy them for years!
ReplyDeleteLoving all of the patterns, but the Cedar Leaf Shawlette really looks devine! I entered on twitter @chrissyza as well!
ReplyDeleteThe Sheepish sweater is adorable! I'd love to knit one for my baby.

ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary!
I have had the Cedar Leaf Shawlette on my list for a while, so will have to go with that one (although I love the socks too!)
ReplyDeleteI'm way into the shawl collared cowl, mostly because I don't have any children yet, and there was a frost last night where I live, so I'm ready for a warm neck!
ReplyDeleteI've got a few skeins of Malabrigo sitting here waiting to become the Cosette Wrap! It looks so cozy and would love to make one to keep in my office for chilly days.
ReplyDeleteThe cedar leaf shawlette is gorgeous. I'd also love to make Haltermelon and Watermelon for my daughter!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Alana's patterns - I think the Cedar Leaf Shawlette is my favorite. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteooooh Cosette is soo cute! i hope i win!
ReplyDeletePlayful Stripes for my granddaughter and the Shawl Collared Cowl for me! I love both of these!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love/lust with the Cedar Leaf Shawlette. I can see it around my shoulders as I sit by the fire, ...knitting, of course. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful! If I had to choose only one pattern, I think I'd choose the shawl collared cowl. Very unique. If I had a little girl, though, I think I'd have to pick one of those sweet knits for kids. So precious!
ReplyDeleteI also love the Playful Stripes sweater! Congrats on the Blogiversary! Love ya, Amanda
ReplyDeletelove love love the cedar leaf shawlette!
ReplyDeletecedar leaf shawlette. It's so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the Shawl Collared Cowl but I've had my eye on the Cedar Leaf Shawlette too!
ReplyDeleteSince I currently have 2 grandsons, I have to say the Playful stripes cardigan and the Sheepish sweater are two I would love to make for both boys. But with the new grandbaby due in Nov, and not knowing gender yet, you can bet I will be revisiting Alana's site to purchase a couple of the others if this dau has a girl ;) ;) There are some cutie girl items there. But for now I knit for boys, and am def looking for new, different, cute, but not cutesy patterns for the boys. My first choice would be sheepish and both boys will absolutely love it!!!
ReplyDeleteRav: Judy11
Because I knit a lot of kids stuff, I'd have to say the playful stripes sweater. But for ME, I'd be sorely tempted by the cedar leaf shawlette. Both are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the Playful Stripes Sweater!!!
ReplyDeleteRavelry: annadorothy

ReplyDeleteWell, this wasn't easy, there are so many nice patterns to select from. I guess my final answer is the Playful Stripes Cardigan. Keppygirl - Charlene
ReplyDeleteOh, I love them all! My favorite is the Cosette Wrap, though. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI love the cedar leaf shawlette and the shawl collared cowl. So, so much.

ReplyDeleteI love the cowl pattern!! A fabulous giveaway, Happy Blog-iversary!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary!! My favorite of Alana's patterns in your give-away is the Playful Stripes Cardigan. I've been knitting for our nieces and nephews who have become parents and hopefully I will be knitting for grandchildren in a few years :-). This pattern would be great to have in my collection. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've made a few already, and the next on the list is the Shawl collared cowl. Love her patterns, her blog, and she has the cutest little girl!
ReplyDeleteI've been in love with the Cosette shawl since I first saw it, so that has to be my favorite, but all of the patterns are gorgeous. I'd love to have any of them to knit up this winter.
ReplyDeleteI love the Cedar Leaf Shawlette!

ReplyDeleteI've already made and love the Cedar Leaf Shawlette. Would love to try the shawl collard cowl
ReplyDeleteI've had the Cedar Leaf Shawlette queued for ages; it's beautiful! I think I even have the yarn...
ReplyDeleteDo I have to just pick one????? They are all gorgeous! I have a definite tie between Sheepish (which I would have to make for my friend, the shepardess, to hold onto for a granddaughter that I'm sure she'll have some day...) and the watermelon themed sweater and dress for my granddaughter as well as the Playful Stripes cardigan for her and the cowl to use some of my handspun.... I feel an order coming on.
ReplyDeleteI'm instantly in love with the Playful Stripes Cardigan. I'd love to make this for both of my girls... :) I also like the Spring Garden Tee for girls (and the adult one too)! I enjoyed some summer knitting projects over the summer, always looking for good patterns. :) Never Not Knitting is now bookmarked on my computer!
ReplyDeleteI like the Cedar Leaf Shawlette.
ReplyDeleteThe Cosette wrap is lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh...they are all so lovely but if pressed to pick one I would love the Cedar Leaf Shawlette. Mind you the Chloe pattern would look so adorable on my little granddaughter...hmmm...what to do, what to do?? :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Cedar Leaf Shawlette. It looks like a great transitional piece for this time of year!
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing the playful stripes cardigan for my soon-to-be-born daughter (February, here we come)! But I'll also admit the selfish knitter in me wants the Cosette Wrap, especially after listening to back episodes of Never Not Knitting. And I Tweeted, a cool giveaway on a cool blog is so worth a tweet!
ReplyDeleteI think Haltermelon would make a fun summer dress for a new - and very sweet - little girl in our family. She lives in Texas where it's often too warm to enjoy some of my other knitted baby favorites! All great patterns!!
ReplyDeleteSheepish is just TOO cute! The buttons just make me smile :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite pattern is Chloe but sadly that isn't one of the patterns you are giving away. So my second favorite would be the Playful Stripes cardigan. I think my 18 month old daughter would look so cute in it.
ReplyDeleteI have admired Alana's well constructed projects for some time now. It is especially nice to look at all the photos of each item and it is very helpful to see them worn! My favourite of the patterns mentioned here, is the cedar leaf shawlette... so autumn, so useful right now!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your anniversary and your pregnancy! I would love to knit up Alana's Cedar Leaf Shawlette. I have made her leggings for my girl and they keep her nice and toasty!
ReplyDeleteI love all of Alana's patterns, so it's hard to chose. But, I'd say the Cedar Leaf Shawlette or the Shawl Collared Cowl are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI would love to knit the Spring Garden Tees, yes plural! I'd knit the original for my daughter and the adult one for me. :)

ReplyDeleteshouson2 at gmail dot com
Very Cherry is adorable. My daughter is in such a dress phase these days. This will be a perfect winter dress when I pair it with a long sleeve shirt. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI have to pick just one favorite?? All her patterns are beautiful. I'm very into cowls right now and would love to get my hands on her Shawl Collared Cowl.
ReplyDeleteI think my favourite would either be the Adult spring garden tee, or the cedar leaf shawlette- it's too hard to pick just one. Thanks for the giveaway!
