A Proper Post for a Proper Bear

I realized the other day that I never shared the details on our new friend the bear.

Here they are:

Yarn:  Paton's Silk Bamboo, in Almond (I think... I purchased it some time ago)
Needles: Size US 3
Mods: None- love it as is!
Raveled: here!

Although he really is the most proper of bears (I assure you it's true), he is still nameless- any suggestions?

  2. He's so sweet! I don't have an name suggestions, as my sister grew up with a bear named "Teddy" and I grew up with a cow named "The Cow."

  9. I think the only proper name for a proper teddy bear is Teddy. After all, Teddy Roosevelt was pretty awesome.

  11. Well I always love to add Mr. to stuffed animal (and Miss to doll) names. So I would suggest Mr. Bear or as mentioned above Mr. Boo. Though if bear is a girl you could easily say Miss Bearina...Missy Boo.

  14. The reason for 'oliver' is bc the other day we drove past Oliver cromwell's cathedral and I could totally have seen a sweet little one holding that bear in such a beautiful place. :)

  16. As a child my bear's name was Vincent. I do like Mr. Boo though. He'll tell you though.

Mr. Vincent Bamboo, Mr. Boo for short.

  17. He is the perfect bear! I think he is the color of pearls so I would call him Pearl Bear and maybe he could turn into a she and one day have a lovely necklace of pearls when they play dress up. In fact they could have matching pearl necklaces.
My girls Lizzy and Emily use to play dress up for hours. I miss that but I saved all their prom dresses so one day their girls can have lots of fun playing at my house.
I love all your designs!! Keep it up.

  25. Keep in mind in time she may have an opinion of the name. My daughter decided that a little white tiger was her best friend. We couldn't help but call him Hobbes. Let's just say they had their comic strip moments when she started walking. At first he was "Meow". All animals were called by the sound they made. Now she's just "Tiger." We tried the name thing again. But no. "Tiger"

  26. SWEET as can be....smiles.

  27. He's painfully adorable. And I'd name him Beauregard ;)

  28. Thinking of making him for the new grand daughter. Suggesting a proper name of Ted E. Bear.
