A Very Plucky Open House

Some of you may have already heard the news via Jill or Sarah, but I wanted to announce it here, too.  On Saturday March 12 we will be holding a Plucky Yarn Open House here at FPK Headquarters (sounds official, huh?!).

Details are as follows…

Join in the yarny fun!
Saturday, March 12th
10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Hartland, MI

Sarah Dimond, (The Plucky Knitter) will be here with her beautiful yarns on display for purchase.

To R.s.v.p. and get directions, email Melynda at: melynda AT frenchpressknits DOT com

Hosted by:
Melynda Bernardi, (French Press Knits)
Jill Zielinski, (Knitterella)

In reality, we have been trying to plan this party since last summer- originally thinking we would hold it in the fall (pre-baby). When that didn't work out  Jill and I thought, since our birthdays are only a couple days apart, that we could hold it in February and have a yarn theme birthday party for ourselves.  You know, pretend we were five again and decorate the house with streamers of yarn and make a big yarn-ball birthday cake.  Then, of course,  everyone in attendance would have to buy us a skein of yarn as a token of their affection (a girl can dream).

Luckily for you our birthdays have passed and all you need to do is show up and partake in the amazing amounts of Plucky Yarn (and as an added bonus you'll also get to see Elise and I in our matching Plucky Cardis).  Email me for directions- can't wait to see you there!

PS... I love reading all the sweet comments about the giveaway.  I'm glad my readers are as excited about the book as I am- Yay for Slate Falls Press :)

  1. I wished I lived in MI! NY is just too far, but you three (really!) write my favorite blogs. I've purchased Sarah's yarns and you're all so lucky to have her so close! Would love to attend, but not this time. Maybe I'll make a road trip one of these days. Please tell me you'll host another open house again!!!!

  2. Sounds like a wonderful party! If only I lived closer. :(

  3. oh man! I would love to come if I lived closer! That would be SO MUCH FUN!

  4. Sounds like a great way to spend a day. Have lots of fun!
