Just a Little Christmas Block Party

Sorry for the silence over the past few days- I've been busy...

After 4-5 days of not having time to knit a stitch last week/this past weekend, I was starting to worry that I wouldn't have enough time to work on Elise's Christmas sweater.  After just a few evening knitting sessions, the sweater prevailed!

Just a reminder- today is the last day to win free yarn from by Annie Claire, make sure you enter before midnight EST.  And on that note, have you seen her winter collection yet?  It's live and it is gorgeous- go check it out (and make sure you click on each photo to get a description of how each is made/dyed- so interesting!).

ps... this pictures shows just why we can never have all hardwood floors in our house.  That's right, I just lay down a towel and pin my washed knits into the carpet- works like a charm!

  3. This sweater is a work of art. Are you going to share what pattern this is....or is it a work in progress of your own? I have a special baby to knit for soon and would love to do something like this.
    Thanks.

  4. I'm convinced you never sleep...truly! I could never finish such a beautiful sweater in such a short time...amazing! Are you sure you don't have a team of little knitting elves who magically appear in the middle of the night to help you meet your deadline? !!! Merry Christmas!

  7. I am amazed! It is so beautiful. I'm also curious why you knit it flat? Is there a benefit? I can't wait to see the finished product.

  10. Oh my gosh, thank you. I've been looking for the best (and most cost effective) way to block without committing to lots of boards and wires. I have carpets, rugs, and straight pins so it looks like I'm set! :)
