Boy or Girl?

After the past couple posts, a couple of you are thinking I may know the gender of Baby #2.  Well, I guess I'll really throw you for  loop in this one:

That's right.  As it was with Elise, I am clueless.  I figured I would make a purple set and a blue/green set for coming home from the hospital.

I also kind of think that with the right outfit a little girl could pull off the blue/green set, and a little boy always looks quite pleasant in purple- agreed?

If you're wondering why we don't find out the gender of our babies before they arrive, it basically all boils down to this.

  1. Aw! Babies look beautiful in all colors, they are sweet hats no matter who your baby is.

  2. I think both colors work, neither are too gender specific. I love it when parents don't find out, it's such a fun mystery, and it just means you are so content with either a boy or a girl.

  3. Its like the last big surprise you will ever get, and you will love it either way. I never wanted to know what my babies were before hand. I never snooped before Christmas either. I love surprises.

  4. Since I had a gender preference I had to know while I was pregnant so that I could morn the fact that I wasn´t going to get the sex that I wanted. All I have ever wanted was a girl. I´m pregnant with my last child and it is our third boy. When I found out this time I had to take a personal day both from work and family. I cried for a full day (I almost NEVER cry and this cry was like I had lost someone I loved, uncontrollable and soul shaking). It has taken me months to come to terms with the fact that I will never have a little girl. But now that I´m 6 weeks from my due date I am not as sad as long as I don´t think that I will never have a little girl but that I am gaining another amazing little boy. 3 boys that will be around 6´4 full grown men that I will have to feed. LOL. Had I had a girl the first time I wouldn´t have cared after that what sex the rest were. Kudos to you for picking your battles and being sensitive to your husbands needs. I have a feeling that your marriage will make it for the long run.

  8. i think your naming bargain is a great one! i have a dear friend whose husband campaigned just as fiercely to name their first born boy Maximillian, a name she hates. Fortunately, they have since had two girls and no intention of any more kids! ;)

  11. The thing with this, is that if you like to plan you can have two contingency plans!

This is just a way to be more creative! I love both of those colours! Greys, light blues, creams, and anything that can be sublty added to after the fact are great.
