Confessions of a Fair Weather Knitter
At this point I'm not even sure where time has gone or how it got away from me for so long. I could give you a beautifully written post to show you how sorry I am for being away for so long, but instead I will post for posting's sake, just to get back into the habit of it.
Something funny happened back a few months ago. When the longer days and warmer weather crept in, my knitting addiction seemed to fade a bit. My needles and yarn were replaced with boat rides and biking, and blogging somehow took a back seat.
It's probably no coincidence that when I left you Elise was just starting to crawl. Mobility changes life! Since then, she has moved on to walking and can now get almost anywhere she wants to go.
Now that it's been a few months I'm not sure where to start. I feel like much has changed- the online world is morphing and I haven't been keeping up. For some reason when I go to post on Blogger it's way harder than it was before (anyone now how I can get the old posting back?), I guess I should have been around for the change. Social media sites are changing- I have finally started using my Pinterest account and becoming a little addicted. I have jumped the Google Plus bandwagon (or Google-Face, as Joe ikes to call it) but am still in the process of figuring out its capabilities.
So, I will attempt to fill you in on what I have been up to these past few months in the coming days- as long as you don't mind me straying a bit from knitting content. Don't worry- there is still fiber, just other forms of it.
PS... thank you all for the emails, Ravelry hellos, and Twitter mentions- rest assured we are doing well here in French Press Knits land- just enjoying my summer with these two loves:
Welcome back! We missed you but I am so glad that you had a lovely summer. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us.
ReplyDeletehave to admit, the kid's pretty cute. kinda elf like.
ReplyDeletedoes other forms of fiber mean you're spinning?
@bitchesgetstitches.net
ReplyDeleteNo, but I was doing some weaving- just saw that you have been as well.
Yay! You're back! And that mobile stage is nuts - this mommy completely understands. (Have two- forget blogging, you'll be setting alarms for time for yourself, who would have thought my "me time" is 5am with a mop & some laundry??)
ReplyDeleteI figured you would be back before too long. Summer does the same thing to me only I catch up on my reading, outdoors I might add, in place of knitting. Glad to see you around here. I too, am attempting to blog these days over at jenbeeknits. Happy last weeks of summer; take care. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm guilty of the same thing. A summer like the one we just had does not happen often in Montreal, so we've been taking full advantage. Welcome back and Elise is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteso glad you are back.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Lady :)
ReplyDeleteSo good to see you blogging again!! :) Are you gonna do the Shop-Hop this year? I've been pondering it myself. . . hmm
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are back and had a lovely summer <3. Elise is too precious!! I gave birth to a lil girl Bella Annelyse on August 9th...looking forward to knitting her lots of handknits this coming winter :0)
