I had the idea to do the same sweater in a smaller gauge in very neutral, non-gender specific colors (or as close as I could get to them). I picked my palette:
And when my yarn finally arrived, I got a'knittin:
I am totally in love with the color scheme, but I am having some tension issues. Colorwork with a silk alpaca sportweight yarn on size 0 needles was maybe not the greatest idea- lesson learned. I'm hoping blocking helps a bit... we'll see.

ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with any project I use Blue Sky's alpaca silk for. It's beautiful but really tricky.
