This should shed some light on the mystery WIP from the other day. Turns out, with just the funny looking leg pieces a few people were still able to figure out what I have been working on this week. That's right- it's the Debbie Bliss Teddy Bear!
I have made this teddy once before, and although it does require a bit of seaming, I love the end result and know that it is totally worth the time and effort. So, with darning needle in hand, baby in lap, and Netflix queue ready, looks like I have my afternoon planned out. Gosh, I love maternity leave!
maternity leave sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the DB teddy bear! I'm actually working on my third! And, I need to make one to keep for myself!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it finished!
ReplyDeleteOh wow. I love bears and knitted one of the DB bears when I was pregnant with my middle one 11 years ago!!! Enjoy the journey x
ReplyDeleteooh, knitted toys are the best! the seaming is totally worth the end result.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you for all the seaming... that's generally the moment in a project when I want to give up!
ReplyDeleteBoy your day sounds wonderful, I am waaaay past the days of maternity leave. I am on day 3 of snow and ice days off from work, I baked bread and have been knitting so much my hands hurt (that is a good kind of hurt from getting projects completed). The teddy bear is really cute, for an even more adorable little girl. This will make a wonderful keepsake for Elise.
ReplyDeleteLove it ! It has made my queue :)
