Updates

Time flies when you're having fun, no?!  This summer has been a whirlwind of family time and exciting events, travels and meet-ups.  I've been doing my best to take advantage of my maternity leave, and enjoying the time at home with the kids.

Speaking of which, we celebrated the arrival of our third child last month (almost two weeks late, little stinker!).  Clara came in to the world on June 9, weighing in at 7lbs, 5 ounces.

She has been welcomed home with more toddler kisses and hugs than we could have ever imagined (not to mention the occasional eye-poke  or dropped toy on head, it comes with the territory I suppose!).  The best news yet?  Turns out she loves handknits (for now, at least!):

When Clara was about a week and a half old, we packed up the minivan and headed for the East Coast.  It was a long trek with three little ones, but a week in Maine was both a relaxing and adventurous trip.

Clara is now 7 weeks old, and maternity leave is over halfway over.  So for now, I'm relishing these moments- soaking up memories and enjoying a season of sweet cuddles with minimal outside distractions.

And- oh, yes- there has been knitting!

    1. I'm just guessing, but that looks like the Leia Bonnet by Mel Clark. If our little one had been a girl, I would have knit one too! :)

  6. I love the big girl in the basket reading to her brother. He will be very taken care of, with both older and younger sisters.

  7. Congratulations! I am completely amazed that you went on vacation with a newborn. I only have one and we could barely make it out of the house when she was that young so I am just in awe that you could do that and find the trip relaxing. I think that's great.
