In Absence

The least I can do is explain what I have been up to this week. The basement is almost finished. The problem is, I'm learning that "almost finished" can be a very long process.

Also, I am working hard to launch my baby bootie pattern. Since we're now approaching summer, I figure it's a good time for some baby knits. The felted baby booties were originally a knitted item I sold in my Etsy shop. Designing something to make myself and writing a pattern for others to use are completely different things, so this process is also taking a bit of time.

What's keeping you busy these days? Any big projects on your plate?

  3. Melynda these are just too cute! I am making my list now of all the people that need a REALLY cute baby gift!
I know all too well what you mean about designing a pattern for yourself verse a pattern that others will understand. You do this very well, but it is time consuming.

  4. Very cute! I look forward to purchasing the pattern.

I'm in the same boat. I just finished the prototype of a sweater I'm designing (the project page is on ravelry: http://ravel.me/mgy37/cc). It turned out pretty well, there's a few mods I want to make on it. And then I have the fun, fun task of sizing the thing and writing it all out in a way that somehow gets someone else to see knitting the way I do... I'm giving myself to the end of the summer.

  13. Still waiting for that adorable child-size FPS pattern, however, reality has set in. I realize there is not enough time to work, finish the afghan and knit/felt slippers for the June wedding! Still will try to get done for the bride, her stepmother (my sister) and my mother. Someday I will get a pair!
So, I need the children's pattern for Christmas! Okay?
